To provide hands-on experiences in public health agencies at the federal, state and local levels.
Applicants must commit to a one or two-year full-time training period (depending on the program); be willing to relocate throughout the duration of the training; meet the professional and licensing requirements for hiring by the U.S. government according to the U.S; office of personnel management; be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; have trained in the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) program or have comparable applied epidemiology experience; have completed at least 12 months of ACGME-accredited postgraduate clinical training involving at least 11 months of direct patient care; have a current, full and unrestricted medical license from a U.S. licensing jurisdiction; have a Master of Public Health or equivalent accredited degree, per ACGME requirement.
