To enhance individuals’ leadership abilities, strengthen professional skills and ultimately produce more competent and competitive Latino professionals in public policy areas.
Applicants must be emerging Latino leaders who are U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or individuals who are lawfully authorized to work full-time without restriction for any U.S. employer and who, at the time of application, possess lawful evidence of employment authorization; must have earned a Bachelor’s degree within two years of the program start date; have high academic achievement (preference of 3.0 GPA or higher); have evidence of leadership skills and potential for leadership growth; have demonstrated commitment to public service-oriented activities; and have superior analytical skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Selection will be on competitive basis; applications are reviewed by a selection committee composed of program alumni, members of the CHCI Board of Directors and Advisory Council, and CHCI staff.
