To advance the health and welfare of horses by promoting the discovery and sharing of new knowledge; to enhance awareness of the need to the targeted research; to educate the public; to expand fundraising opportunities; to facilitate cooperation among funding agencies.
Applicants must be senior veterinary students who have indicated a strong desire to pursue a career in equine medicine at schools nationwide.
Consideration will be given to students who have demonstrated leadership qualities in any of a variety of equine-related areas including, but not limited to, involvement with the AAEP, community organizations or equined industry programs.
